Body was off for repairs to drivetrain. Must not have centered it correctly on trying to get it mated together. Shifted in air and kapooya shits everywhere

The Tahoe that lost its frame really made the rounds last week. My wife sent me that one. Talk about a code brown moment.

Honestly, the Channellocks as a hitch pin is probably fine for a short haul ... say to the store to buy a new hitch pin.

I was hesitant about adding the Tahoe because I, too, saw it through other channels. Fortunately, the poster’s comments sound legit, so I believe his JRitS post to be the original source.

And yeah, I could see myself doing the same thing with the hitch pin. I’d just take it real easy and try to avoid chewing up the handle grips too much until I got to the store. Besides, the size of that coupler suggests a light-duty trailer.

I’m glad you included it, because I forgot to post it here. Oppo needed to see it.

Strange place fora a hitch pin...

I see what you did there.

I’m pretty amazed at the pressure plate... just... how? The only way that seems possible is if the car sat a really long time, or if the clutch was replaced at least once without replacing the pressure plate along with it and run a lot more miles. I’ve seen a lot of blown clutches, but never a pressure plate like that.

My guess is something going on with the release bearing? Maybe if the bearing somehow got cockeyed, either by failing on its own, or by some other part (like a spring) getting wedged in there...

I’m thinking release bearing/fork too. Even the fingers that are left look pretty worn. I actually have already had the fork replaced under warranty in my ‘14 at around 52k miles because it somehow got bent and corroded. I imagine if I had kept driving on it that it would’ve messed things up with the rest of the clutch system.
